Toys for Tots 2025: “Truly Unforgettable”
Courtyards at Southpoint neighbors helped the Toys for Tots program collect more than 2,000 Christmas toys for children in Chatham County.
“This past year was truly unforgettable for us,” reported Ginger Brinker, organizer of the annual campaign in the county. “I don’t think I’ve ever shed so many happy tears! The families were genuinely thankful and overwhelmed by the generosity, and it was incredibly moving to witness.”
Residents in our neighborhood once again participated in Toys for Tots, a national program designed to make sure children in communities across the country receive gifts each Christmas. Chatham County is immediately south of Durham County.
Courtyards at Southpoint resident Sheryl Knauss coordinated our neighborhood’s involvement in the project.
In Chatham County, Toys for Tots collected 2,071 toys, 142 books and 1,559 stocking stuffers, which were distributed to about 500 children.
“This world needs more people like you and the community you live in,” said Amy O’Brien, who organized the Toys for Tots branch that includes Courtyards at Southpoint. “Thank you for coming alongside us in this journey.”
