The Courtyards at Southpoint Social Committee has planned a fun lineup of events for the neighborhood through the fall. We hope you will join us.

 

Key events this month include:

• Our next Happy Hour is scheduled for Sept. 11. The theme is still to be determined, so stay tuned for more information.

• The pool is scheduled to close Sept. 30. Be sure to stay tuned for details about a pool-closing event as we wrap up another great pool season.

• Our Speaker Series kicks off again Oct. 5 with Mike Woodard, speaking on “Red, Purple and Blue … a 2026 Elections Primer.” We look forward to welcoming him and continuing this popular neighborhood tradition.

 

Coming later this fall:

We also are planning an Octoberfest celebration for the neighborhood. Plans so far include a cornhole tournament, along with plenty of fun and fellowship. Stay tuned for more details as plans come together.

 

One of the most exciting things happening in our neighborhood is the growing number of clubs/interest groups. These groups provide wonderful opportunities to connect with your neighbors who share your interests, try something new and make friends right here in our community.

 

Several groups already have taken off, including the Photography Club, Cookbook Club, Caregiver Support Group and more.

 

Are you curious about joining a group? Check the neighborhood calendar and Slack to learn about upcoming meeting dates and times.

As we look ahead to the coming months, we’d love to hear your ideas and suggestions for activities, events and fun things we can do as a neighborhood. Our goal is to continue making Courtyards at Southpoint an active, welcoming and fun place for everyone.

 

So, please share your ideas with the Social Committee. You never know; your suggestion could be the next great neighborhood event.
