Repairs, Current Projects, Usage Hours, Thanks

The dog days of summer slowed but did not stop work for the Amenities Committee. In addition to members and volunteers completing daily checks of the clubhouse and pavilion, the committee conducted the following maintenance items and improvements during August:

• Repair of clubhouse doors

• Completion of painting projects, including wall repairs and paint around the clubhouse front entrance

• Replacement of burned-out lightbulbs throughout the clubhouse

• Rekeying the clubhouse and pavilion doors to enhance security

• Performance of annual inspection and service of HVAC system

• Completion of quarterly pest control treatments for clubhouse and pavilion

• Completion of quarterly inspection and maintenance of the fitness equipment

In addition, the following projects are in progress:

• The clubhouse water fountains have not been functioning for some time. Repairs have been approved and should be completed within the next two weeks.

• Work has begun on updating posted rules at our facilities so that we can update our signage this fall.

• A master maintenance list is being developed for all amenities.

A note to neighbors who may not be aware: The hours to use — or refrain from using — the pavilion area and dog park are:

• Pickleball court — 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. or dusk, whichever comes first

• Pavilion — Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

• Dog park — 8 a.m. to dusk

A thank you goes out to Beverly Abbott for coordinating a group of volunteers and to the volunteers themselves who will be donating their time to ensure the clubhouse trash and recycling bins make it to the curb over the next year. You are part of an incredible team of committee members and volunteers who work to keep our amenities clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone.
