Courtyards at Southpoint
Festive Season Brings Neighborhood Together
Thanks to all the neighbors who provided photos of the annual clubhouse decorating and the rescheduled luminary night. The close of 2025 was filled with light, laughter and celebration.
Neighbors Mark Veterans Day
Thanks to Lt. (Ret., USN) John Robinson, who organized and led a Veterans Day celebration at the clubhouse on 11 November. The program included a short video explaining the origins of Veterans Day (originally Armistice Day) followed by the recognition of veterans in attendance. Several people brought photos, memorabilia, and stories to share, and other attendees spoke about their family members who had served our country. Finally, we all enjoyed pizza and home-baked goodies (thanks, Sheryl!). We appreciate all who served! Click on photos to see full image.

Men Gather,
Making Plans
Several dozen male homeowners from across the Courtyards at Southpoint gathered for a self-administered happy hour July 16 in the clubhouse.
The event helped men from both phases of the development get to know each other. And it provided an opportunity for them to learn how they can participate in the life of our neighborhood.

Neighbors Visit
Bennett Place
On a chilly early spring day, neighbors went on a tour at Bennett Place, a North Carolina Historic Site in Durham. After learning about the location where the armies took steps to end the Civil War, the group went to Picnic for lunch.
"Art in Bloom"
The Garden Club hit the road and visited "Art in Bloom" at the North Carolina Museum of Art. The annual exhibit features the work of floral designers from across the state and beyond who interpret works in the collection.
Mathematical Fun
In what has become an annual event, neighbors gathered at the clubhouse, pies in hand, to celebrate Pi Day on March 14.
Community Read Dives Into New Novel
The Book Club hosted its third annual Community Read with the novel "James." A re-imagining of the classic "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," the book prompted conversations about race, slavery, language and violence.
Neighborhood Fond(ue)ness
The Social Committee dipped into the next level of Happy Hours with its fondue night for February!
Our neighborhood marked the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a presentation by John Robinson.
