June 2026 Amenities Committee Report

Pools, Pavilion, Irrigation and Other Projects

By Jerry Smith, Chair

As of May 9, both neighborhood pools were opened for the season. The opening event at the clubhouse was well attended by neighbors, and lots of ice cream was consumed and enjoyed by all. Soon after the opening, there was an issue with the steps at the lap pool being slippery, but the condition has improved recently. Scheduling for private swim times at the lap pool is available here.

The pavilion area will not be available for private rentals, which are allowed at the clubhouse. But everyone is welcome to have up to six guests at the pavilion for a gathering as long as you don’t mind sharing with pool goers or pickleball players.

The Amenities Committee is working with the Landscape Committee to install an irrigation system for the plantings around the pavilion. In the meantime, thanks goes to the loyal committee members and plant enthusiasts who continue to regularly water the area.

A few other projects include posting rules for the pickleball court and pavilion, installing slam protectors on both pool gates, placing first-aid kits in each of the restrooms at the pavilion and an AED — defibrillator — to be installed there as well. And we have purchased a squeegee for pickleball court maintenance.

Also, the HOA board is looking at proposals for the front fence repair. We hope to have feedback on that project very soon.

And finally, for those of us with senior memories, the code for the dog park lock is 2042.
