Improve Our Neighborhood; Join Our Committee

Happy Merry Month of May. We can hardly believe it's almost pool season. The pool opening date is May 10, and the pool will remain open through Sept. 14.

We are gearing up for not only pool season, but also the opening of the new amenities areas. We are seeking new members for the Amenities Committee. The committee is responsible for the clubhouse and pool, and it will be responsible for the new amenities. This responsibilty involves a lot of checking and follow up to ensure everything is functioning properly.

The current committee members are Ray Abbott, Rico David and Sherry Dayal, along with co-chairs Beverly Abbott and John O'Keefe. If you notice an issue or have questions, please contact us by posting on the Slack Amenities channel, or e-mail us. Posting on the Slack Amenities channel allows other residents to know an issue has been reported, and we will follow up with action taken.

We decided to remove the pool storage box. It was our second box that had broken, and the breakage had become a safety and cost issue. Thank you to all who picked up pool noodles, etc. They no longer can be stored in the clubhouse or pool area. 

We still are working on some WiFi\internet issues, and we are checking on the possibility of switching from cable to a streaming service or expanding our cable program to include some sports channels.

We have obtained a price for a new rug for the great room and will be submitting it to the board for approval. We feel this will be a positive step toward improving acoustics.

By the way, there are lots of puzzles in the library. Many thanks to a community member who donated many great puzzles.
